I emailed a friend to ask him whether or not he had voted yet. In WA we vote entirely by mail, so many people have already sent in their ballots. He replied that not only had he voted, he knew they had received his ballot and verified his signature! How to do that is below the squiggle.
Of course I wanted to know how he had accomplished this amazing feat, particularly in light of the lawsuit filed in Florida about the discarded absentee ballot. So he replied with the King County Ballot Tracking site. Why doesn't EVERY jurisdiction have this? It's so awesome. I'm happy to report that my and my husband's ballots have been received and verified.
