This will surprise no one here. But hey it's nice to know that smart people agree with you. For most people it's nice to feel smart. For most of us knowledge is power, but to modern Republicans it seems knowledge is weakness. Feeling smart is for hippie athiests and voting for smarts is for socialists. They're bullies, like their naked Emperor Mitt Romney, and as usual the nerds have them positively seething.
Not surprising, but they sure as hell need to get over it. The bullies are being exposed and rejected, while the nerds are taking over the world.
From ThinkProgress:
Obama Swept States With The Most Educated Workforces And The Highest Paid Teachers
Of the 10 most educated states, measured by the percentage of residents over 25 years old who have a bachelor’s degree or higher, Obama swept all 10. Conversely, among the 10 least educated states, Obama lost 9 states.
Similarly, states that invested the most in teachers went overwhelmingly for Obama. He swept the 10 states with highest average public school teacher salaries. Among states in the bottom 10 for average teacher salaries, Obama won just one.

The numbers have it. Republicans need to learn something I have had to learn intimately as a carpenter: trust the numbers.
They haven't, and they don't. "Math is for geeks" they say. Poisonous.
We're humans, and with humans knowledge has always equalled power. And the Republican Party have fostered an attitude of mistrust and hostility toward knowledge, and those who pursue it.
They are reaping the blight that they have sown.
