I just got off a post-election volunteer conference call led by Mitch Steward with a message of thank you from the President. Mitch mentioned that though all the states haven't reported their final numbers, we were "north of 140 million door knocks and phone calls" to register folks, talk about the issues and GOTV. 140 million!
Though I wasn't able to travel to battleground states this year like I did in 2008, I was able to make phone calls...both from our local office here in Illinois and also from home..using that awesome electronic system. The system even emailed me on election day and asked if I could make some more calls to folks in battleground states to ensure they had voted. When I said yes, it fed me the names, numbers and my script.(Don't tell my boss what I was doing on election day at my desk).
Take that, project ORCA!
If you helped with even one phone call or donated even one dollar, thank you! We really dodged a bullet...Romney would have truly been worse for our country than Bush.
Thank you...thank you...thank you!
