The US Government admits that chemical test were done in the 1960's and 1970's in inner city neighborhoods; however, they claim the tests merely involved ZnCdS particles, which are not by themselves biowarfare agents. One may ask why the military felt it necessary to release chemical clouds into inner city neighborhoods in the first place (in St. Louis, the gases were released at the old Pruitt Igoe housing complex that was later imploded). The government response is that they were testing the wind patterns of major cities to see where chemicals would spread if the Russians hit us with something like a dirty bomb (or at least that is my interpretation of what they have said). But a local sociology professor is suggesting that the chemical cocktails released by the military on US soil were far more dangerous. She suggest the possibility that they were laced with radiation particles. I'm not sure what evidence the sociology professor (at a local community college) has though.

Also, there are complaints from residents who lived in the areas gassed of high cancer rates years later. This Fox New article has quotes from a local resident to that effect.
