Willard, you embody all that is worst about the greedy, self-centered, narcissistic, anti-patriotic, dishonest, bigoted, arrogant, entitled, and hypocritical bastion of power and privilege that is the republican party.
That last part was said by the man who gave you your first public humiliation, Senator Ted Kennedy.
Ironic, isn't it, that years after he slapped you down, he gave a hand up to Barack Obama, the man who is giving you your present public humiliation.
And Senator Kennedy's reward was to see the ascent to the presidency of the man who would implement the healthcare reform that had been his lifelong dream. The very healthcare reform that you offered up as a sacrifice to the heritage foundation, to the conservative movement, and to the republican party -- your offering to their altar, in return for which you expected to buy the presidency. Only to have them slap you down too. Because, oops, they changed their mind, and as the price of the nomination they suddenly demanded that you repudiate your only achievement in public life. More irony, huh?
Almost as ironic as you, not even a real member, taking the karmic hit for the thirty years worth of piling on to which your repugnant party has subjected Jimmy Carter. Well, that's how it goes, I guess. At least Mr. Carter can go to his reward knowing that for the next thirty years, it won't be his name, but yours, along with George W. Bush's, that will be the synonym for failure at the presidential level.
And unlike President Carter, both of you bastards will have deserved it.
Mr. Romney, thank you so much for subjecting yourself to this globally televised, national public humiliation.
It is a pleasure to watch you and your party drown in the quicksands of your own manure.
