In May of this year, I realized the lifelong dream of being a published novelist. More than the dream of being published was the dream to share a vision and a message.
The book is, "Where the Deer Dwell," and will be available as a free Kindle download this Friday, November 9th from 12:00 a.m. until 1:00 P.M. MST.
My dream began in 1992, when I took my first "grownup" weekend trip to San Francisco. While there, I visited the Academy of Arts and Sciences Museum in Golden Gate Park. After returning home from my trip to this amazing city, I woke up one morning having literally dreamt the entire story line for the novel.
Little did I know that the topics I was so passionate to illustrate would become such relevant issues in the coming decades. These included global warming, terrorism and wars precipitated by the use of societal fear. While it is a time travel fiction novel, each of these issues is addressed in a way which I always hoped might provoke a deeper consideration for how thoughts, words and deeds of the few affect millions. I cannot express the excitement I experienced at merely registering the manuscript with the Library of Congress in 1999.
Now I want to share it. I don't care about the monetary reward. My reward will come just by having it read and by sharing it with as many people as possible. The book will be free this Friday, during the hours shared above. Follow the link below on Friday and the price for purchase will be $0.00. I hope that for those of you who have the time and interest in reading it, that you will do me the honor of providing a review. That is all the recognition I'm seeking. YOU are my community and I want to share it with you. And how great it is that we live in a country where such dreams are possible?
