This is the rumble around Florida.
His popularity remains low. A Nov. 3-4 survey by Public Policy Polling, a Democratic firm, showed 48 percent of Florida voters disapproved of him, with 37 percent in support. The disapproval rating was higher among Hispanics at 58-35 percent.
The importance of Florida’s Hispanic vote was highlighted by Obama’s performance this week. Most of his strongest counties also happened to contain the state’s largest Hispanic communities — as well as sizable African-American communities where Obama was even stronger.
