Bruce Bartlett is a born-again Reaganite who has seen the light at least as to the need to raise taxes. Yesterday, he was on "Up, with Chris Hayes" (a must-see -- without doubt the smartest show on TV). One of the guests was Veronique de Rugy, one of the stable of right wing shills teaching at George Mason University. After she tried to argue against the need for a tax increase, Bartlett had had enough: "Your ideas are so goddamn dogmatic," he said and continued:
You're living in a fantasy world where you're going to balance the budget by abolishing medicare and other ludicrous ideas.
To see the most colorful exchanges, go to about 4:00 of the video, but the whole thing is worth watching. Also, I was very impressed with Governor Malloy of CT, another panel member.

Note: Bartlett still says he's a conservative and thought that the GOP could somehow get African-American voters by reminding them of Dems pre-1964 racism. Well, nobody's perfect.
