This incident took place a few years ago and I just realized this is what a death panel does. I was sitting in the waiting room of the Dermatologists office while my husband had Mohs surgery on some skin cancer on this head, and in walks with great difficulty a fellow and sits down with a heavy sigh.
He was in the dermatologist's office because the anti-rejection drugs he took after his lung transplant were giving him skin cancer.
The doctors in Georgia decided his lung problems were due to many years of cutting his grass, especially a back portion of his property where Canada goose congregated. Apparently, the dessicated feces were atomized in the air and his inhaling this over many years was responsible for his medical problems. As he is a retiree over age 70 they refused his request for a lung transplant and suggested he apply to Ohio where his problem originated.
Ohio, not only granted his request but put him at the top of the list. The couple moved back to Ohio and continue to live here. The anti-rejection drugs he needs attack his skin and are now starting to attack his joints. But he continues to live the best life he can and enjoys the company of his wife and family. But he experienced the "Death Panel" and lost in Georgia. Fortunately, Ohio rescued him.
