Hi, folks. I've been trying to write a diary for a few days now but it seems I've lost my focus, so I'll just say what's on my mind below the fold.
The Political Circus
I'm sick and tired of politics being what they are in America. I'm especially tired of the obvious projections coming from the extreme right wing in American politics, so to them I say: Put down your FYIGM (Fuck You I Got Mine) and FYIWY (Fuck You I Want Yours) placards and stop blaming us for the trouble that you fucking morons, along with your knuckle dragging, mouth breathing idiot constituencies, and wealthy puppeteers cause for anyone who doesn't belong to 'the winning team'. I'm tired of your idiot supporters whining and bitching about the nonexistent 'Big Gub'mint' while trying to create that very same 'Big Gub'mint' to tell people who they can and can't love, when they can and can't have sex. If anyone is trying to create 'Big Gub'mint', it's you, and you know it.
Religious Tripe
You know what else? I'm tired of right-wing religious nutbars trying to shove a Bible up my ass via stupid legislation like school or public prayer amendments or proclamations. Or worse, subverting school boards by appointing right-wing fucktards who have no understanding of subjects like science or even history for that matter. They constantly play the majority persecution card while persecuting everyone else. They could practically get away with bloody murder if they believed in the 'right religion'. Separation of Church and State? 'Nuts to that, Christians are the only ones who deserve religious freedom', they say. I wonder what Thomas Jefferson, one of the Founders that so many right-wingers hold on such a high horse would say about that? Oh, that's right. Thanks to Texas, we may as well not be allowed to teach about him anymore. That brings me to another thing that pisses me off..
Historical Tripe
You know, I really wish that people in this country would stop acting like the founders of this country were gods in the flesh. I mean, seriously. Sure, I can respect that they made this country possible, but many founders were also for their own brand of dictatorship and plutocracy. Examples of this include James Madison or John Jay who said 'The purpose of the government is to protect the opulent minority (the 1%) from the majority (the 99%).' and 'Those who own the country should govern it.' And then there's John Adams, the Dubya of his day who passed laws such as the Alien and Sedition acts of 1798. Because of this, many were unjustly imprisoned, with some dying before being brought to trial (such as Benjamin Franklin Bache, grandson of Benjamin Franklin).
They had no problem putting down other forms of protest, even when concerns were very legitimate. For example, the Sahys Rebellion, when former revolutionary soldiers started an uprising in Massachusetts due to the fact that they hadn't been justly compensated for their efforts in the war, which led to many of them losing their farmlands to land speculators. This brings me to one more point.
Economic Tripe
Right-wingers constantly talk about 'free markets', but what they really want is to 'privatize' every aspect of our lives just so they can make their already fat pockets just a bit fatter, in other words: Economic Royalism. That goes double for the worshipers of Saint Ron (aka Ron Paul). Here's a little known fact for these particular groups of people: What they consider to be 'crony capitalism' has existed even since colonial times. It's safe to say that crony capitalism is an American tradition with things such as the whiskey tax (Used to kick the crap out of Moonshiners, leading to the Whiskey Rebellion), cheap land grants and so on. The 'free market' has never existed, and it's never going to exist. It's just a buzzword that Republicans and Liberty Wand suckers use to peddle more economic royalist policies.
My Conclusion
Perhaps this was mostly an empty rant on my part, and maybe it's mostly because I'm sick and tired of my fellow human beings acting out of shear ignorance because we've been so heavily propagandized to do so. Greed is NOT an inherent trait in humans. It's taught through years of indoctrination into a system we refer to as 'capitalism' and the great political swindle we often call 'democracy'. America is a country that has always been ruled by the wealthy elite, and unfortunately history has been whitewashed to hide that aspect of our culture. I think it's time to peacefully establish a new system that works to the benefit of all. Who's with me?
