We have flowers, lots of flowers blooming away on my street. Azaleas, tulips, daffodils, and even some roses. It's an early spring here in the deep South.
The parades have ended, the party has been cleaned up and for many, the period of Lent has begun. When I was younger, this meant I gave up chocolate and saved my pennies for the poor. Now, well, I'm exploring different avenues of meaning. Lets just say, I no longer get ashes on this day.
