Well, the optics of this do not look good.
Former U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson crashed into a Lynx bus in downtown Orlando about noon Saturday.
Investigators said Grayson was driving a Mercedes, when he ran a red light and hit the bus.

I haven't seen any polling on Grayson's comeback attempt, but sort of thing isn't going to help. It's almost like a cliché; the expensive foreign car, the red light being run, hitting a bus of all things! At least it wasn't a little old lady on crutches. I tend to think whoever wins the primary is nearly a lock for the general, but it really depends on if the people of Orlando want a showboating congressman or more of a workhorse. I realize he's got a whole lot of money to throw into the race (and thanks to his borg-like fundraising, it won't just be out of his very deep pockets) but I could see him going down if he rubs people the wrong way. This won't help; if I were one of his primary opponents, I would make sure that at least one of the people on the bus sued him to keep the story in the news.
