Welcome to the third edition of "Zero Impact Posts" (ZIPs). If you missed the first edition, you may want to read it in order to learn about the many positive aspects of ZIPs and thus the inspiration for the ZIPs series.
Jotter plans to post the Weekly High Impact Post on Tuesday, and I'm sure that when he does, it will show that there were more than 1000 posts, with nearly all of them receiving recommendations and about half of them receiving more than 9 comments.
And according to me, there were only 21 posts that had no recommendations and no comments. They had absolutely zero impact, as judged by these measures. See below for a table with these rare and remarkable posts.
This week's ZIP table is new and improved! If you hover your cursor over the link to the post, then your browser will show you the first few lines of the post.
What I have shown above is the official ZIP list for the week. But actually, there are other ZIPs that I have not shown, which fall into two categories:
1) unpublished ZIPs
These are excluded, because they are difficult for me to find (since they disappear when they are unplublished.) Also, I'm not actually certain that they really are ZIPs, because it's possible that com's and rec's were added just before the post was unpublished.
Here is a sample from the prior week:
2) author-commented ZIPs
These are excluded, because they are also difficult for me to find. For ease of compiling the list, I just assume that any post that has another comment (in addition to the "Tip Jar") must have gotten the additional comment from someone other than the author. But occasionally, the author adds a comment.
I just happened to come across the following author-commented ZIP from the prior week. By the way, the additional comment the author added was "... saddened no one commented ...".

The End
You have reached the end of this blog post.
I realize that's not a very interesting conclusion, and it's not the way I had originally planned to end the post. In fact, I had great and wondrous plans for the commentary, but alas, the plans went awry, as plans are want to do. Ahhh, those unruly plans. And it is a pity, since I had such plans ... such glorious plans. Ohhhh (wailing into my handkerchief).
