The country, including the FOX and the bushy kombat keyboarders, want the Afghan War to End with roughly the same numbers that supported the walking away from the Main Mission {does anyone see a mass movement of active duty against the war, as we had during Vietnam, those still being sent are trying to accomplish at least a small part of the main mission abandoned with the countries support years back and the present CiC is leading to their wants, a slow drawdown, think Vietnam, not the officers, knowing that's pretty much impossible now!} and the Promises the country made, again, to the Afghan people, to destroy Iraq, some 78% according to FOX!
That's Good, BUT, the only branch of our government doing what they can for the returning Soldiers, and as many join our Veterans ranks, is the Executive Branch while the Legislators lay blame on the Veterans Agency, Fed and State, and No One Served by the Military Is Demanding They Sacrifice, including the media outlets like Rachel does again in this piece with only hinting at before going after the VA, and they all do it, the media, the talking heads, the representatives even many vets!
Least I remind Nothing was done prior to this administration though congress was starting to catch up in the 110th and 111th only to have the country increase the congressional, and a number of states, obstructor numbers in the 112th, now a decade added to the previous decades since Korea!
DeJa-Vu all over again!!!!
Where's the Call for the Demanding the Sacrifice Rachel, where is it from the National Veterans' organizations including now the IAVA, where is it from All the media outlets, where is it from the Country??

It isn't the VA Rachel, It's the Country that is failing the Veterans, once again!!!!
VHA: Review of Veterans Access to Mental Health
The Iraq War has been ended but not that long ago, many who served, many with multiple tours, are now in the ranks of the Veterans, PTS doesn't strike instantly, for most it takes triggers to all of a sudden surface, same for those still serving active duty and in theater or on other bases. The numbers who seek help are once again rising, of course the agency is going to once again fall behind and the time span will increase, they only have so much to work with while the defense department industry reap billions in profit, with the end of the Iraq war and the drawdown of Afghanistan, that brings needs, not funded, rapidly once again, get with the reality Country, you owe and have for decades, not by ignoring!!
A note on the hearing yesterday that Rachels talking about: This is only the second major Senate Veterans Affairs hearing this year, boy am I disappointed in Murray not only as we still have one theater ongoing but she speaks like the minority leader Burr in her questions and statements pointed at the VA and the personnel in , and for the second time Senator Burr didn't show up, his stand in was Senator Brown again, yet Burr is once again running on how strong his support is for Veterans!!
Speaking of Veterans, Veterans Issues and Mental Health issues, one of many things this present VA administration has rolled out with the executive branch's help and still way underfunded:
