So I live in Santorum country, but we have some barrel chested libertarians also out here and some ex-Obama progressives added to the mix, so it's a lot of fun. I actually was talking about the fair pay for women act, and how Republicans, and Mitt Romney, were against it.
"That's awful! Romney sucks! This is why I'm voting for Ron Paul!"
I was flabbergasted. It's like people just have an object of dislike and they move to someone that gives them a good feeling, not even realizing what policies they are supporting. I explained to my friend that Paul would be against any law that told the private sector what to do. But, I got an earful about how Paul is for America, and he unites, and he's not partisan. Then I reminded my friend that Paul was against the civil rights act.
People are so friggin' confused.
