Here in Wisconsin, we have roughly 300 wind industry suppliers and manufacturers. Wind turbines have to be 1,250 feet away from the nearest neighbor's home, which is a fair law. Also, turbines have to farther away from the closest property line than they are tall. These rules were to be in place over a year ago, but Governor Walker stalled these implementations, seeking stricter laws.
Wisconsin's wind industry took a back seat while other states in the midwest invested in wind farms, creating jobs and sustainable clean energy. The Wisconsin Legislator's regular session expired last month, without Governor Walker's restrictions being approved.
The Winds of Change are coming fellow Wisconsinites, and it's a good thing. : )
