As is probably obvious to everyone here at DKos, the uproar on the right over "Fast and Furious" is just another fear-mongering myth concocted by paranoid right-wing loonies and the media vampires who roil and then suck their blood for their own purposes.
And, as has happened so many times in the past, serious investigative journalism has finally probed this ridiculous right-wing "scandal" and shown it to be utterly fabricated.
If you want the proof on this one, surf over to

It's an article by Katherine Eban called "The truth about the Fast and Furious scandal."
A bit more below the fold...
If you read the article, you will find all the usual hallmarks of conservative reality-manipulation: omission of crucial facts, interpreting of other facts to mean the opposite of what they clearly mean, half-truths, outright lies, complete fabrications, ominous and threatening overtones sprinkled over actual nothings, false accusations, unctuous disdain and disrespect for everyone and everything that stands in the way of the story line, and so forth.
You will also not be surprised when this expose of the real source of this faux constitutional crisis (that is, right-wing paranoia, racially tinged suspicions if not outright racism, and unhinged cowardly fear of change) fail to slow down the spread of this contagious meme among those who are susceptible to this kind of disease. Just as the birthers will never be moved by reality, just as the supply-siders will never give up their idiotic economics no matter how many times reality proves that it never works, just as the "free business" believers will never be budged by the mountains of evidence that unregulated business will almost inevitably turn evil, or by the truly obvious fact that neither business nor any other activity whose bottom line is money can be trusted to act morally—in short, just as reality cannot impinge on a completely dissociated psyche, so too will the truth just run off "Fast and Furious" like water off a duck's back.
This mania is too useful to the conservative power structure to be allowed to subside until after the election.
So it won't.
