Romney & Co., are busy raising money over the Supreme Court ruling to uphold the Affordable Care Act. And he has raised over 2M since this decision this morning, let's be honest, it is impressive:
"Obamacare upheld. Elections have consequences," reads the screen on Romney's website asking for campaign donations.
Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul tweeted the Republican received more than $2 million and more than 20,000 donations, as of about 4:50 p.m. ET.
Romney once again vowed he will repeal President Obama's health care law, which was upheld as constitutional today in a 5-4 decision by the high court.
With the wording of the Supreme Court that the mandate is a "tax", per se, the talking point out there now is that with this ruling, Obama is raising your TAXES.
If the Obama White House has learned anything it must be not to sit on your laurels. This is the opportune time to communicate to the public as President Obama did simply this morning, what this healthcare act will do for you. This is the opportune time for the President to re-introduce this health care act to the public is PLAIN SPEAK, so folks get it like he did this morning.
The President lost political capital with the Affordable Care Act, we all know it because we lost the 2010 mid-term elections, but now is time to reframe all of this and turn it into a winnable argument and something that every American going forward will understand that this is for their betterment, qualilty of life.
This is the beginning of a hard campaign, but the pressure must continue to be on Mitt Romney and the fraud that he really is. The pressure must be that Obamacare and Romneycare are hand in hand, brought together by a vision of 2 different leaders of 2 different parties. The pressure must be that Mitt Romney was for this accomplishment before he was against it. The pressure must be, "how can you believe anyone who will perform a complete 180 on a law that he passed and was praised about?" The pressure must continue....
I threw in $200.00 today, first time throwing in some money to the Obama Campaign. Though I, personally did not like the outcome of the ACA, in the end this victory was for the people and the right thing to do.
