I was reading the latest news from the Bain Capital mess, and if ANY of you believe that he did not lie to the SEC and was not the sole shareholder getting all the money, in addition to his $100,000 paycheck, you must still believe in Santa Claus. Willard continued to get all kinds of money he stashed in the Caymans, Switzerland, and wherever else they won't check and see what you made. He left? Had he left and left Mass., he would NEVER have been allowed to run for Governor. You have to be a resident of the state for seven years before you run. Why was he still getting a paycheck and obviously other monies if he left? He even had the audacity to say that he came back to Mass. to attend shareholders meetings. If you have nothing to do with a company, why would you attend shareholder's meetings? He owned the company until 2002, and still made a boatload of money on it. He was not living in Mass. and got away with that one. I think that is why he thinks he can lie with impunity and never have to pay the piper. I wish with all my heart that the SEC check into the Willard situation and bring him in front of them and make him tell them why he signed as sole owner, president and office boy until 2002, if he had nothing to do with the company.
This guy will not release any of his tax returns (interesting point that McCain saw Romney's tax returns and picked Sarah Palin) because I believe they will show a great deal of discrepancy in what he said and what was the truth. This man could not tell the truth if it was on a teleprompter. He has proven over and over to lie about things that don't even matter, and believes that it is OK because he is a wealthy guy and he is above all that that us poor people (anyone without a million or so) have to do. How ANYONE could look at this guy and a) like him and b) vote for him is beyond any comprehension I could ever begin to understand. But, I don't understand why someone would not vote for someone because they're black, so I must not have my head on straight.
So, here's the million dollar question: Can the Republicans, seeing the sharks in the water, and Romney in a rubber raft with two hundred holes in it, dump him? Could his people that he picked up in each state vote for another candidate? If it were possible, would you not think that the Republican party is starting to see the stars in the sky and the stink on their candidate and are beginning to have back door meetings to put someone else on the ticket?
I really don't know. Is it legal and possible to dump Willard and put in a candidate who isn't so hopelessly out of touch with human beings and so arrogant that a lie to him is just part of a daily chat? Once the ads that do comparisons of what he said and believed before, and now says is his position, he is going to get another thousand holes in his boat. Right now, I wouldn't give him a snowball's chance in hell of winning the election.
September is a month, that for some reason, the economy goes up. Maybe it is because kids are all going back to college and school and they all need stuff and airplane tickets and all kinds of other things and anyway, the economy will show a jump in September as it ALWAYS DOES, the worst possible thing for the Republicans -- right before the election. They are counting on the economy to continue a slow dive and for Romney to come in and "save us". I personally don't think he could save a livesaver, but that is just my opinion.
So, Kossacks, can they dump Romney? Then, second question, who would they put in his place?
