Below are pictures of my daughter's yard. Earlier this spring, she discovered she was allergic to the sun, and went through a few weeks of illness during the rain - and her yard got out of control.
She kept saying she would take care of it, and then get overwhelmed.
She wouldn't take any help because it was her first house and she was, by all the gods, going to prove she could take care of it herself.
Well, she's out of state for a couple of days, and I have the key to her house to take care of it while she's gone.
Take care of it I will.
Yards - no matter how overwhelming - fear me.
See below why:
Before, at 6 pm:
Itzl and Xoco are in this picture, but the grass is so tall no one can see them, not even me.
There's a pond in this somewhere:
A tree I half chopped before I remembered to picture it:
In Progress, taking a break at 7 pm:
At 7:30 pm:
The pond! It doesn't work, but there it is!
Standing by the pond, looking at the house - something I couldn't do at 6 pm:
At 8 pm:
You can see Itzl and Xoco!
I still have trimming to do and hauling all the tree bits I chopped down, and chopping back the vines growing from her neighbor's yards.
When she gets back, she should be able to maintain this.
