Socially responsible buying (SRB) is something we all can do with a little effort. The concept of boycotts is old, but to be effective, those who wish to participate need to know brands, products, and producers to avoid.
(Of course as progressives, I assume we all follow principles of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! This diary doesn't speak to that even though they are the first principles of thoughtful consumption.)
Last evening's diary by The Troubadour on Chick-Fil-A brought a lot into the sunlight about one company. As progressives, there may be many companies we would wish to avoid, whether or not in a formal boycott. I propose creating a series of diaries that help us all navigate our consumer lives more effectively. IS THERE ANY INTEREST IN CREATING A GROUP?
