Farmer's full of dough.
So Mittens, in another attempt to prove his regular Joe bona-fides, decides to visit an Iowa farm. With so many farmers suffering from this year's drought ( that of course isn't caused by any global climate change) RMoney had to show that he cares. They installed a brand new empathy chip just for the occasion.
Of course, Romney being Romney couldn't visit just any old farm.
Romney Visits Iowa âFarmerâ Who Is Also A Millionaire Real Estate Mogul With A Spaceship House And Personal Car Wash
In an attempt to show his concern for farmers hit by the devastating drought that has swept 78 percent of the country, Romney had a photo-op with Iowa âfarmerâ Lemar Koethe. However, Koethe isnât exactly the rugged down-home farmer struggling to keep his operation going that you might expect.
Or should I say operations â 54 of them. Yes, according to the Des Moines Register, Koethe owns 54 soy and corn farms. And thatâs just one of his jobs.
Got it? Not a small family farmer that depends on that one farm for their livelihood. No, a guy who owns 54 farms, and who receives, say it with me, government subsidies to "stabilize" crops. In other words, he gets paid not to grow stuff.
But he is not only a "farmer". He's also an architectural maverick who lives in a spaceship house.
Arguably one of the most distinctive homes in Iowa-if not the nation-this personal residence takes unique architecture to a new level. It contains an underground garage equipped for multiple vehicles, as well as a car wash bay. The lower level also contains a large recreation center with an art display area. Grade-level entry provides access to the elevator and a spiral staircase rising 35 feet to the main living area. The main level provides an amazing panoramic view of the area.
Sorry Mittens, no car elevator. Doesn't every famer's house contain a car wash bay and art display area?
It's Friday and I'm in a mocking mood and who better to mock than Mittens?
