The front page currently has a Paul Ryan quote where he says "Regardless, it’s clear that the Obama stimulus did nothing to stimulate the economy, and now the President is asking to do it all over again.”
Romney has made the same claim in different ways repeatedly.
Why would anyone put someone into office who is either
a) so stupid as to think that a true statement?
b) so dishonest as to repeatedly claim that lie?
For some reason the Bikini Graph (monthly American jobs growth/loss 2008-2009) isn't coming up.
A four year old could tell you, by looking at the monthly jobs growth/loss data in 2008 and 2009, that something significant happened in the first half of 2009. Gee, what was it?...
Oh yeah;
Jobs were being eliminated at a catastrophic and INCREASING rate up until Obama came into power and did what he could to save US from an economy that very well could have surpassed the Great Depression in terms of wealth and job loss.
If Obama had gotten his way the stimulus would have been bigger and saved more jobs. But the Republicans in congress wanted to see a crash which bruised and battered Obama. SABOTAGING the American economy. (The smaller stimulus barely passed with the help of a Republican senator who is retiring because she doesn't recognize the party she's been in for a generation - Olympia Snowe)
Please, personalities blessed to be in the spotlight of the mainstream media RECOGNIZE this and report the truth of the matter. How can the Republicans be trusted? You're helping them rewrite history by not calling their B.S.!!!
None of this is controversial as far as I can tell (please correct me if I'm wrong).
MSM your country needs your help! Don't let us down!
10:35 PM PT: Aside from the lying, the main point here is that the congressional Republicans have been acting toward their political advantage, which happens to mean that they're trying to spoil every effort to improve the economy. I don't use the word sabotage lightly. Their behavior has been anti-American at the least, if not criminal. And the mainstream news media seems oblivious.
