Not-for-profit organization Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe, formerly Friends of Science East, Inc., and Matthew Inman, aka The Oatmeal, have teamed up to raise funds for the purpose of buying famed inventor Nikola Tesla's last remaining laboratory, known as Wardenclyffe. For over 15 years, TSC has worked tirelessly to convert this important piece of tech and American history located in Shoreham, NY into a museum and science center.
Using Indiegogo as a fundraising platform, they have been able to raise more than $500,000 in less than two days! With the land listed at $1.6 million and a competing bid already placed, there is not much time left! Please donate to help save this important historical site! Not only is it the last of Tesla's labs still in existence, but the main building was designed by early 20th Century NYC architect Stanford White, whose other buildings include the Washington Square Arch, the first Madison Square Garden, and the New York Herald Building.
