Docs for America is taking a bus tour of Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, starting next weekend. Well, isn't that convenient ... there's an RNC convention in Tampa about that time ...
I think they'll just stop on by and promote the Affordable Care Act!
However, since these aren't the greediest physicians and med students in these here United States ...
... they forgot to save enough money for gas. We still need donations.
And we need signatures of support from everyday Americans, saying they support the ACA too. Follow below the fold for our bus tour schedule and how you can help.
8/26: St. Petersburg, FL (RNC Kickoff)
8/27: Sarasota, Bradenton, and Clearwater, FL
8/28: Tampa, FL (University of South Florida)
8/29: Eatonville, FL (Macedonia Baptist Church)
8/30: Tampa, FL (RNC)
8/31: Gainesville, FL (University of Florida)
9/1: Atlanta, GA
9/2: Columbia, SC
9/3: Charlotte, NC (CarolinaFest)
9/4: Durham and Chapel Hill, NC
9/5: Charlotte, NC
9/6: Charlotte, NC (DNC)
That's right. The Docs are taking it to the streets from St Petersburg to Tampa and all the way up to the DNC in Charlotte!
Do you agree with this?
We, the undersigned, demand our politicians put Patients Over Politics. We must work together to build on the Affordable Care Act with further reforms and commit to a future where everyone can get health care when they need it.
We believe in an America where everyone has quality, affordable health care and where doctors and the public work together to build a health care system that works for all.
We took a critical first step toward this vision when we passed the Affordable Care Act, a law supported by the largest physician organization in the country. We must now ensure the Affordable Care Act is implemented so millions of Americans can realize the full promise of the law.
Then why aren't you standing with us? Sign the statement of support at
http://act.drsforamerica.org/...
And then you can donate to the organization for gas, banners, blood pressure cuffs, and more! With matching grants by the Center for American Progress, we are halfway there ...
BUT WE HAVE LESS THAN A WEEK!
Nothing would look sadder on Fox News than a bus of health care professionals stuck on the road between Tampa and Charlotte, OUT OF GAS.
Or a banner made out of old Ace Bandages.
If you're going to be on the tour route, come on down and see it live.
If not, join the virtual tour, as I'm doing from up here in Massachusetts.
Either way, patients and doctors must unite to get the GOP with the program and the DNC clear that they are in the right direction.
It's a BUS TOUR!
