If I was going to do anything that I thought was most important in this election, I would support any efforts to get out the vote, especially in those states where it is obvious voter suppression is going to possibly make the difference.
I get many (way too many) emails from various orgs asking for my dimes (which are limited) and I would prefer to throw them at anyone who designed some concrete steps to challenge voter suppression.
For example, are there ways to figure out who has been scrubbed from the voter rolls?
In states where they have introduced voter ID laws, are there efforts to get those disenfranchised by those laws to procure IDs?
Are there any legal organizations devoted to this issue? Are challenges being prepared beforehand?
I do not think the Dems are going to beat the GOP on general fundraising.
On a tangent to that, I do wonder why Democrats have not asked why they haven't made a big deal about the fact that if the ridiculous amount of money being poured into this presidential campaign, had instead been invested in creating jobs in this country, where would we be today?
To me it has all been about the Republicans grabbing power back and the best way they could do that was to refuse to support any Obama initiatives that would have moved the country ahead. Why not make more of a issue of pointing that out?
