While working all day yesterday, I could only read Romney's words last night.
I read his words a dozen times on a dozen blogs.
They were infuriating when they were merely words on a computer screen.
You have all seen the video. It's disgusting, but it's worth one more view in this context.
Only with the added benefit of actually hearing the inflection, the disdain, indeed, the guttural hatred in his voice directed at fully half of the American people did I realize who it was that he despises so.
It occurred to me after hearing his voice coupled with actually saying the words that I had previously been only able to read.
Only then did it truly hit home......
And it hit home like a Mack Truck.
You see, Romney despises my mother who to currently resides in a nursing home while simultaneously having the temerity to rely on the bills being paid by medicare and medicaid.
You see, he despises my father. A WWII veteran, 8th Army Air Corps, 303rd Bomber Division B-17 ball turret gunner, and Distinguished Flying Cross recipient who, 41 years after entering his service to his country, took his early retirement from our local school system (age 62) and who also had the brass to live 27 years past that joyous occasion, all while living on a meager pension and social security benefits.
You see, my mom and pop - in Mitt's mind - had the temerity to feel "entitled" to the scraps that fall from Romney's richly adorned and amply supplied family table and from the tables of those that he respects and admires.
He despises you, he despises me, and he despises everyone we know and love.
Romney thinks that we feel entitled not to live in squalor during our senior years.
Here's the deal:
This man only loves money. He only lives for it's voracious accumulation, and only respects those that have what he considers enough of it.
This man isn't worthy to carry the title Human Being. He isn't fit to hold the office that he so desperately desires.
In fact, this man isn't worthy to carry my father's woodworking tools.
His sociopathy runs far too deep. He suffers under the delusion that he's entitled - no.... ordained - to be elected, elected to become the most powerful man on the planet.
Not. While. I. Live. And. Breathe.
Get out there and vote. Work your tails off. Register people to vote. Help those that are currently being disenfranchised by their state governments to register and vote.
We must stop this fool.
He's coming for your parent's retirement and their security. He's coming for the disabled and their basic needs. He's coming for the food that hungry children depend on.
He's coming for everything that isn't nailed down.
He's coming for it all.
He's coming.
I say "Full Stop".
