Jon Stewart's Moment of Zen last night was a 2005 video of Romney saying his childhood dream was to be rich and famous.
ROMNEY: When I was a boy ... when I was a boy ... I used to think that becomine rich and becoming famous would make me happy, (hehehe) boy was I right!)
<
Obviously, there is nothing wrong with dreaming about being rich and famous or flying to the moon, etc. But, when you add in Mitt's 2005 comments with Mitt's Business Model plus all the other comments of Mitt makes despairing the working class, in my opinion, it is just one more piece of evidence that Mitt Romney would not be a President for all 'the People.'
ROMNEY'S BUSINESS MODEL:
Destroy American families by shipping their jobs to sweatshops in China in order to personally profit millions.
OTHER COMMENTS OF MITT'S
ROMNEY: I like firing people who provide services for me.
ROMNEY: (expression of disgust) "I'm not sure about these cookies. They don't look like you made them. No, no. They came from the local 7/11 bakery, or whatever." (pushes cookies away.)
ROMNEY: "I like those fancy raincoats you bought. Really sprung for the big bucks."
ROMNEY: “I’m not concerned about the very poor."
ROMNEY: “Dependency is death to initiative, to risk-taking and opportunity. It’s time to stop the spread of government dependency and fight it like the poison it is.”
ROMNEY: “He [Obama] says we need more firemen, more policemen, more teachers. Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? The American people did. It’s time for us to cut back on government and help the American people.”
ROMNEY: "Income gap should only be discussed in quiet rooms."
In a quiet room on income gap:
[on poor people with low wages]
ROMNEY: "47% ... believe they're entitled to healthcare, food and housing."
"My job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
Not only does Mitt find 47% of Americans disgusting, but while Mitt Romney was on his foreign tour we found out that Mitt finds much of the people in the whole world disgusting. Every country Mitt went to, he insulted an entire culture of people.
To me, this 2005 video defines the real reason Mitt Romney wants to be President -- if he were to become President he would fulfill his childhood dream of "becoming rich and becoming famous."
Mitt Romney is not mentally wired to be a President for all 'the People.'
