No, I’m not talking rainbows and pots of gold, though I’m sure with Kossacks involved there will be tasty food of Orange. And maybe we can dress some of the kidlets up like leprechauns, even though the event will be a month or so early for St. Patty’s day. My daughter is glaring at me now and shaking her head, so that may be a no on the leprechaun kids, LOL. FloridaSNDad is suggesting we dress them as house elves instead, which is getting an even louder “I am NOT wearing a pillow case, thank you!”
So Vetwife asked me to write up a diary and figure out who’s bringing what, so we don’t end up with six ambrosia salads, 5 jars of pickles and some punch for lunch that day. So if you’re coming to the meet up February 9th, please post in comments here or kosmail me with what you’re bringing to the potluck so we can coordinate.
Caedy and I will be bringing Pasta e Fagioli made with turkey bacon and Focaccia bread.
So far as I’m aware we’re the only ones so far who’ve figured out what we’re bringing, so the menu is pretty much completely open at this point! Ft. Cooper Park is a dry site, so no alcohol please, but we will have refrigeration and a microwave available.
We will have the site from 9am to 5pm, we are planning to eat around 1 to give everyone a chance to get there, and so that those who are traveling further will be able to get home at a reasonable hour. I’ve also heard we’re having a mystery guest flying in. No, I don’t know who it is, so bribing me for information won’t help ;). As people get back to me with their choice of potluck I’ll update the list.
