Las Vegas, NV - UPSTREAMTV of Bemidji, MN will provide television coverage of the red carpet at the AVN Awards. Soren Sorensen, a Bemidji area resident, long known within the adult entertainment industry as "SEKSI" has acquired access at the event to produce television programming for public accesss cablecast and internet TV. Sorensen's company, Seksi, Inc. has been an underwriter of UPSTREAMTV, and he has created many hours of public interest news and politics programs with UPSTREAMTV, much of which is available online through YouTube. A few more UPSTREAMTV videos featuring or co-created by Sorensen can be found in the YouTube channel ManticTv.
UPSTREAMTV is a non-profit that began cablecasting public access television to Bemidji, MN and surrounding communities little over one year ago. UPSTREAMTV.com links to a live VideoStream of what is currently being cablecast on local channel 18 on MidContinent Cable and Paul Bunyan TV.
This years AVN Award show is its 30th Anniversary event. The adult entertainment industry's highest honors are presented at the show, which has been called the "Oscars of adult" by entertainment weekly. The award show iself has been nationally televised on the Showtime Networks eaach year since 2008.
In addition to getting access to the red carpet for coverage of the Red Carpet, Soren Sorensen, a.k.a. SEKSI, has been videographing related shows and events in the past weeks towards creation of a television documentary on Measure B, the Los Angeles County ballot measure passed by voters in the 2012 election that may require condom use in adult films created the epicenter of the industry. Recent developments include a lawsuit to overturn the measure (see FSC: Adult Entertainment Industry Files Suit Challenging Measure B). Support for the Measure B television documentary is sought by Sorensen via crowd-funding social networking site Kickstarter.
