If you're spending a lot of money on prescription drugs or your telephone service, I'd like to pass along my experience and you can decide if it applies to you. My wife has a rare blood disease. For years we've been paying, out of pocket, well over $10K per year for her drugs...and that's been thru overseas purchases...which the feds have now effectively shut down. We're now getting those same drugs locally thru a compounding pharmacist for about $2500. I encourage you to find a compounding pharmacist if you are taking long term prescription drugs. I'm not going to discuss the details of these drugs here or my wife's illness, but I assure you that while her affliction is rare, the cost of drugs is a universal problem..and I encourage you to try my suggestion.
A little more below...
If you have a high-speed internet connection, you can save money on your phone expense (land-line or cell) by taking a look at OOMA. I did. Installed their box between my modem and router and the quality is excellent for about $4.50 a month. I opted for their "premier" service ($99/year) because of all the things it does for me. And, I got rid of that company that provides customer service only if you can find your way to a human being thru a maze of choices and dead-end prompts.
There's also an Ooma App for your cell phone that allows you to make calls over your wireless...and to even do that in Europe on wireless or 3-4G networks (where the call would be measured as "data" rather than a "call.") I've installed it and I'm still having a few problems but expect to get it working very well, soon.
I have no personal stake in any of this...just a well satisfied customer saving big bucks every month and I thought I'd share. If it works for you, great. If not...I'm not here to argue. There may be other good ideas and solutions...I'm just saying these have worked for us.
