Apparently it didn't take much for Rex Ryan to not like Tebow. That having been said, he sure gained a loyal fan of people who viewed him as a great guy with solid values who just wasn't getting a chance. Some blamed his strong faith. Others made loopier conspiracies up about why he didn't play.
At one point, it was proposed he should run for office. Well, Tim Tebow is about to enter the world of real politics when he speaks before a mega-church that spends it's time promoting hate.

Tebow has a speaking engagement on April 28 at First Baptist Dallas, according to the church’s website. That’s the church led by pastor Robert Jeffress, a virulently anti-gay and anti-Semitic evangelical Christian who has made quite a name for himself in religious circles.
Prepare for your blood to boil.
It's OK Tim. You have until April 28 to back out. Time gives you a chance to say "I screwed up"
Because I know you don't want to be associated with this guy. Or, I've got to hope you don't.
So, come back to the real world.
To quote Macklemore:
When I was at church they taught me something else
If you preach hate at the service those words aren’t anointed
That holy water that you soak in has been poisoned
