Police beat handcuffed Omaha man; multiple police reinforcements invade home of bystander across the street, then taunt him as they arrest him. A six minute video, but worth watching in its entirety as an example of Omaha's version of Community Policing.
This follows the videotaped beating of another Omaha man about a year ago - http://www.youtube.com/...
It will be interesting to find out how the Powers That Be spin this one ("Who do you believe? Me, or your own lying eyes?")
Sat Mar 23, 2013 at 11:35 AM PT: The first arrest was for a parking ticket (unregistered vehicle parked in the street). The reason for the second arrest - of the bystander across the street - is unclear. He was yelling at the police to stop abusing the first arrestee and may well have been videorecording the event from his cell phone. As far as the latest Supreme Court decisions go, both are protected activities (although it is unclear that all police believe this - http://en.wikipedia.org/...)
When the police invaded the house across the street, they arrested all the males but not the two paraplegic twin sisters; although they did, according to the family, upend the wheelchair of one sister as they attempted to apprehend the guy from the porch. Everyone in the house is family to the first arrestee.
