I know that the souce isn't popular, but this is the most recent article about a school district not doing anything to protect someone who is being bullied.
Here is the superintendents response:
hasn't seen the lawsuit, but that bullying isn't tolerated and all reported incidents are investigated.
That seems very, umm, vague and deflective to me. Almost to the point that he knows whats going on and doesn't do anything about it. Investigated? That's it? How about the maggots that are responsible are dealt with swiftly and without prejudice? Isn't there laws that are supposed to help these teachers out? I thought there was. These kids are getting hurt and hurting themselves or the bullies.
Just like these two boys [http://abclocal.go.com/... thought this was the only way to get the bullying to stop. I am not condoning the behavior but come the hell on.
I still fully believe that the parents need to stop being "checked out" and check into these kids lives. How about look over your kids shoulder, they are kids, not adults and they dont have the mental capacity to understand what is going on.
It is our resposibility to make sure that we, as parents, are making this less about them doing it themselves, and its up to the schools to deal with these goons swiftly and without hesitation.
