Reading over on the old HuffPo, I see that Adolphus Busch IV has resigned from the NRA. I'm sure I don't agree with him on much, but he had the decency to tell them exactly why he was done with them. It was the Senate Vote in particular, and
"It disturbs me greatly to see this rigid new direction of the NRA."
"I am simply unable to comprehend how assault weapons and large capacity magazines have a role in your vision,"

Sure, you can chide him for staying with the NRA so long, but this is clearly an indication that the Ratship NRA is going to sink. The tide is turning against the kind of political blackmail the NRA lives on. It may take some time to sink in the shallow waters of American Political thought, but I will buy a case of Anheuser Busch beer this weekend to send old Adolphus a reward. You have to reward good behavior, and he certainly made no bones about why--the NRA can't keep blowing this kind of rational thought off.
