Welcome to Thursday Coffee Hour. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I just had my first art cover published and now Hugo award winning artist Maurine Starkey is encouraging other magazines to contact me for artwork. Needless to say I am thrilled. I thought people might be interested in how an idea becomes a final product in my art.
Midnight Relections
This started out as an image in a dream. I saw the building and torches reflected in the water. I have no idea what the rest of the dream was about but I put that image of the reflections into this picture.
Pouring Starlight
I had an idea of the moon between two trees with golden leaves and a woman with a pitcher. The finished picture had her pouring what looks like starlight into a glass bowl with a star forming in it.
Hidden Clouds
I wanted to see what it would look like if I did a Chinese dragon hiding in clouds.
On the Edge of Time
I was playing around and wanted to see if I could have both sharp edges and misty soft edges in the same picture.
