We have a Congress that is fiddling on the health care reform fiddle while our infrastructure crumbles and the financial industry finds new ways to pick our pockets.
While on the other hand they cut funds to those that need help the most while catering to the wealthiest amongst us.
All the while a huge percentage of our tax dollars goes to a military industrial complex that spends those funds on spying on the average American and colludes with corporations to shut down popular dissent. Justified with secret courts
We have lobbyists writing the laws that aid businesses in silencing the voters will.
A Congress loaded with millionares has little interest in providing for the general welfare.
What is the common thread? Money. Lots and lots of money.
What do the people that voted these mostly cretins in need to do to change the tide?
Take that money away. How do we legally do that?
With a general strike. We just do not go to work one day. If that isn't enough to get substantial change we strike again for a week. We have nothing to lose. We are almost universally in debt up to our ears that we will never be able to pay off in our lifetime. People are working, if they can find a job, to the point where they have no free time except to sleep.
The power we have is to strike. To take away the power they have over us in this age of nearly unprecedented inequality. We vote but they listen to lobbyists. We march and we are beaten and arrested.
We need to draw a line in the sand. Cowering and hoping we make it through another day will no longer work.
