According to a Washington Post/ABC poll released Wednesday morning, a majority of Americans agree with the Supreme Court rulings on Prop 8 and DOMA, and disagree with its ruling on the Voting Rights Act:
When asked if they approved or disapproved of the Court's ruling on DOMA, 56% of Americans said they approved versus 41% who said they disapproved.
On the Prop 8 decision, the numbers were 51% approval to 45% disapproval.
On the Voting Rights Act decision, 33% said they approved while 51% said they disapproved.
Good news all around. We are clearly on the right side of both issues not only morally but in terms of popular support.
