Tomorrow (Tuesday, 7/9/13), Pennsylvania ACLU will file the first post-Windsor right-to-marry case on behalf of 23 Pennsylvania plaintiffs (10 same-sex couples, one recently bereaved plaintiff, and two children of same-sex parents).
As diarist Adam B noted in his excellent digest of the DOMA decision, Justice Scalia's dissent implies/predicts "a constitutional requirement to give formal recognition to same-sex marriage," under the reasoning of the Windsor case.
Crafted with the Prop 8 and DOMA outcomes in mind, the Pennsylvania case could bring marriage equality not only to PA but nationwide.
Announcement of the case expected at a 2:30pm press conference.
