It's that special time of year when dedicated fans of All Things Winter Holiday (which includes Yule, Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and of course Christmas) can start dreaming about their favorite season while they stock up on gifts and goodies made available at huge discounts. Because Christmas in July is a good title for a SALE!
Okay, it's a marketing ploy ... but it's been known to work so it's worth a try. After all, if the Invisible Hand can help merchants like me unload some inventory while happy customers get what they want at a good price -- it's all to the good, right? I'll show you more, but first an important announcement:
Follow along with the summer Kos Katalogue Blogathon -- see the full list of Katalogue shops, find the diary schedule, and much more right here at the Blogathon Mothership diary by the wonderful Sara R who has done so much to keep the Katalogue going!
Okay, back to me: I am having a Christmas in July sale at my
Handmade Gallery store on Zibbet. Get 30% off my crocheted holiday items plus my winter scarves which are always popular for gifts. I also have this beautiful afghan at 30% off - there won't be a discount like this again for the rest of the year!
As you can see, the afghan has been endorsed by my pootie LuvLee, who is also my marketing consultant. It was her idea to pose like that during the picture session!
Before I close, I'd like to express my gratitude for what advertising here at DailyKos has done for me. Proceeds from my sales through DK have helped pay winter heating bills, fix my leaky roof, and most important of all - keep pootie LuvLee in good health despite having diabetes and going on 14 years old! When she turns 14 soon (her birfday is July 19) I can think back to this time last year when she was getting sicker and sicker. Thanks to DK'ers I got the money to get her a thorough check-up, which was big bucks for me but gave us the diagnosis of diabetes. Since then, you've helped me buy her insulin supplies (which is also big bucks) and supported me through learning how to give the shots twice daily. Now she is as healthy and happy as if you she was going on 4 instead of 14. It's wonderful to have LuvLee back, and all I can say is "Thank You!"
Of course, I still have a humongous bill to pay off from when LuvLee was in the pet hospital last year -- but that's why I keep having sales! PS: If you don't want to buy any of my sale items you can still get 10% off everything else in my Handmade Gallery by using the coupon code KOSSACK when you check out.
Does anyone have a Christmas in July or other special offer going on now? Post in the comments, and share share share!
