As an online subscriber to The Guardian, I get overnight news feeds I check every morning when I get up (here in China).
Today I obviously got hit with the Trayvon Martin verdict feeds, and when I was fully awake and back from my run, I hit the tubes to read-up. After reading the lede article on the verdict (sadly, not surprised), I hit a sidebar link to read Gary Younge's OP-ED, as he has been leading the commentary on it and I'm an avid reader of Younge in any case.
As it loaded, it seemed to hang causing me to curse my bandwidth. Hit the reload. Nothing. Shit. Hit it again and the page loaded with a "Story Removed Pending Investigation" notice.
So I searched it and got:
Hit some related news feed links, all roads lead to zero.
Thought I : "Sounds Angry. I need to find this."
I did. More .....
No Google archives. No Bing archives. WTF?
Finally I found this post on Guy Debord's Cat : The Gary Younge Article The Guardian Pulled
Younge hits it out of the park. Out the bloody universe.
Now it's back up on The Guardian (guess Gary had words with the Editors) and you can read it yourself.
