"I got challenged by a Democrat in 2010 who got less than 30% of the votes and was barely challenged by anyone in 2012. What do I have to worry about?"
Looks like Doug Lamborn is the latest Republican in the House of Representatives to get a Democratic challenger. Retired Air Force Major General Irv Halter is (to my knowledge) the first Democrat who is running to represent Colorado's 5th Congressional District.
Here's a statement from Halter on why he decided to run for Congress:

Halter, a Democrat, told supporters at a Wednesday campaign announcement in Colorado Springs that he is running because he feels there is a “crisis of confidence in political leaders and especially the United States Congress.”
“After long and prayerful consideration, I have concluded that I can no longer stand on the sidelines and ignore this crisis — because we can do better,” Halter said at the event. “In fact, for the sake of future generations, we must do better. And that’s why today I’m proud to announce my candidacy for the Congress of the United States of America.”
Irv Halter will need all the support he can get because Colorado's 5th Congressional District is very red and Doug Lamborn has cruised comfortably for re-election ever since he first ran against then-Democratic candidate Jay Fawcett in 2006, who received 40% of the votes.
However, Lamborn's fundraising numbers as of lately have been lackluster and may prove problematic for him come 2014. Whether this means he'll be challenged by another Republican in the primary or not remains to be seen.

Four-term Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colo., 59, raised just $31,000 in the second quarter. Lamborn is considered a lock in the heavily Republican 5th District, but it’s still rare for an incumbent member to raise less than six figures in a quarter.
Either way, it's good that there's a Democratic challenger to Doug Lamborn even though the CO-05 district is not necessarily high on the radar for the DCCC.
Irv Halter's website has just been launched so no policy or stance on the issues has been made.
However, I expect in the coming weeks there will be more to come from the Halter campaign.
