U.S. Senator Kristen Gillibrand (D. NY) is getting involved in the Colorado recall election and is helping State Senator Angela Giron (D. CO) fight back against the NRA:
When Colorado passed new gun safety laws with an 18-17 vote, Democrat Angela Giron bravely cast the deciding vote.
The NRA – unwilling to even wait until the next election – responded by organizing the first recall election in Colorado history. This is despite 82% of Coloradans supporting common sense background checks.
We can’t allow them to defeat Angela. It will encourage them to launch more attacks on strong women – who stand up for what’s right – in states across the country.
The recall election is coming up in just two weeks. The polls show Angela with 52% of the vote, but in these low-turnout elections, this is far too close. We need to make sure she has enough resources to turn out her supporters and win.
Our help can’t wait. Will you join me in donating to her campaign right now?

Angela has said that this wasn’t “just about these national tragedies but about gun violence every single day,” of which women and children are disproportionately victims.
She shares our values on increasing funding for education, expanding access to health care and making sure undocumented young adults have access to in-state tuition. From her work with the Boys and Girls Club to Girls Inc. to the state Senate, Angela exemplifies what it is to be a woman off the sidelines.
We can’t let her be run off by the NRA. But the best way we can help her is to give to her campaign right away so she can overcome this recall.
