I just checked my email to find "Breaking News" from both the Washington Post and the Washington Times.
WaPo: Obama Asks Congress to Postpone a Vote on Syria Action While Diplomacy Is Pursued
WaTi: Obama, Nobel Peace Prize winner, insists U.S. must strike Syria to deliver message
WTF???
I know the Times is a Moony rightwing propaganda rag, but this is outrageous even for them.
7:47 PM PT: Just checked the link for their story, the headline is now changed to reflect what the president actually said. Here is the opening text from the original as sent to me in the email:
"President Obama made his case to the American people Tuesday to launch a limited strike in Syria to deliver an unmistakable message to Syrian strongman"
So yes, Joe from Lowell is correct in the comments - they rushed the headline out before the speech was complete. I also like how they threw "Nobel Peace Prize winner" in there, trying to gin up the outrage on the right.
