The NSA really needs controlling
The National Security Agency routinely shares raw intelligence data with Israel without first sifting it to remove information about US citizens, a top-secret document provided to the Guardian by whistleblower Edward Snowden reveals.
The disclosure that the NSA agreed to provide raw intelligence data to a foreign country contrasts with assurances from the Obama administration that there are rigorous safeguards to protect the privacy of US citizens caught in the dragnet.
The program crosses so many lines as to have become absurd.
The analysts seem to have no idea what the boundaries are.
Government is either blatantly lying about the program or it doesn't have a clue.
It is long past time that oversight and the legality of the program are fully defined in a constitutional way.
Time to bring this program, its oversight methodology and its courts into the bright light of day, it can't be allowed to continue as it is.
The wreckage surrounding this program is mounting up.
