I don't have much to say here other than to point out how dependent we have become on technology. I will walk around for five minutes trying to find the remote to the t.v. before realizing I could just change the channel. I have a point; I promise.
My point is this: The Affordable Healthcare Act (A.C.A.)sucks because people can't get on the website? I feel like I have lost my remote and I can't get up! Use a phone? Contact and insurance agent? Go visit in person an insurance agent? Mail in an application using a stamp?
A.C.A. will work because the fundamental principles of it are sound: larger insurance pools, caps on insurance company profits, assortment of plans, etc. It might not work though because that which are dependent upon, technology, has failed us. I can text my neighbor or I can walk over and knock on his door. Maybe we should be having a discussion on how technology helps us but also how it burdens us. I absolutely agree that once the A.C.A. websites are up and running smoothly, it will be better to have the technology than not, but seriously, in the interim, there are solutions outside of waiting weeks for techies to figure it out.
Stand up, change the channel on your own.
