Tossed this up last night to little effect. Tossing again this morning in hopes of getting a few more ideas.
I'm trying to work up an ad template that can be easily customized to challenge 'Pubs who will be eager for their purplish constituents to forget that they, as well as the rabid Tea-heads, voted to shut down the government.
While the shutdown and default threat enraged Americans and put the GOP brand deeper in the crapper, it's all too likely that a year will largely dull those memories. Reps like Peter King (the example used here) will tell voters that was those crazy Tea Party people, not rational moderate 'Pubs like themselves.
Which is utter twaddle, of course, unless you're name is Scott Rigell.
My questions: would such a campaign, tailored to target "moderate" 'Pubs, be effective? How can an ad like this be made more clear? (hannah suggested using name labels for the principals for those with poor face-rec skills or little interest in their own congressoids).
Slipping in specific 'Pubs and changing the script to "if you're voting for her" where appropriate is easy peasy, once the template is refined. Then the same message can be delivered to many districts repped by "squishies," as Sen. Cruz would call them.
I welcome suggestions on this one, in hopes of crafting a useful tool for painting our House blue.
