I wanted to write a diary dedicated to one of my favorite singer/songwriters of all time, for the longest times. I am not much of a writer, providing nuance to his life, I'd rather let his works do the talking.
Suffice it to say he was taken from us way too soon.
He was born in December of 1942 and passed July 16 of 1981.
There is one point of his passing I do want to point out, however, that in 1987 he was awarded, posthumously, the Congressional Gold Medal, for his works campaigning on social issues, more particularly the issue of hunger.
