But if you elect me, I might move there.
Oh, Scott Brown.
You're such a hoot.
Scott Brown’s iconic truck, which helped drive the Republican to the U.S. Senate in 2010, still has Massachusetts license plates.
The liberal super PAC, American Bridge 21st Century, plans to highlight this Thursday afternoon in a hit on the ex-senator, who is actively mulling a 2014 bid for Senate from New Hampshire.
Brown dismisses the carpet-bagging attack as “kind of silly,” noting that he still lives in Massachusetts.
Answering the charge that you don't even live in the state you want to run for office in with a response that
of course you don't live in the state you want to run for office in is, I must say, a stroke of genius.
“It’s clear liberal special interest groups in Washington will do anything to distract voters from Democrats’ support of Obamacare, but this is a new low,” he emailed POLITICO.
If people laughing at you for not living in the state whose senator you're trying to be is a "new low", what was the old low? Making funny faces at you?
[American Bridge] will release another YouTube video Thursday of Brown saying in August that the state motto is “Live Free and Die” before correcting himself to say “Live Free or Die.”
Six of one, whatever. He's a real chosen son of whatever-that-state-is, I'll tell you that. And I think his version is probably the more Republican of the two.
“You still have more freedoms than most here in New Hampshire,” Brown says in the August video. “I love riding my motorcycle without my helmet. I will tell you that.”
Where did we go wrong, America? Where did we start to drift from the original meaning of
freedom as release from the tyranny of state traffic safety laws?
Ah well. Can't say there's much up there to protect, so you knock yourself out on that one, Mr. Brown. Though that is probably a bad choice of words.
