School shootings are horrifyingly common these days, but the date of this one has to resonate: Just one day before the first anniversary of the Sandy Hook massacre,
two were wounded in a school shooting at Arapahoe High School in Colorado, not far from Columbine and Aurora. Police said in a Friday afternoon press conference that the suspect, a student at the high school, is deceased, apparently as the result of a self-inflicted gunshot.
One of the students wounded is reportedly in serious condition, while the other has a minor injury that police said might not be a bullet wound. Students are being evacuated to a local church, where they are being reunited with their families.
